Meet Triveni Ravi, Cosmetic Clinician & RN

Triveni Ravi - Cosmetic Clinician & RN

Recently, we caught up with Triveni Ravi, Cosmetic Clinician and Registered Nurse at Samara Aesthetics.

How long have you been working at Samara Aesthetics? (And how long have you been a nurse?)
I’ve been working at Samara Aesthetics for a year and a half and have been a nurse since 2015. My nursing background is in perioperative care, specialising in post-anesthetic care, as well as nursing education and training.

What attracted you to medical aesthetics?
I’ve been passionate about the beauty industry from a young age, always keeping up with the latest makeup and beauty trends. I knew early on that aesthetic nursing was the perfect path for me, allowing me to merge my love for both beauty and nursing into one career.

What are the more common treatments you provide?
Throughout the year, the treatments I perform vary based on seasonal demand. For example, winter is ideal for laser treatments since it allows for downtime, so I tend to do more of those during that time. As summer approaches, patients often seek more of a glow with skin boosters and anti-wrinkle treatments to refresh their appearance.

When do you feel your skin is at its best?
This is a good question! It’s never been better, to be honest; since I started at Samara, I have been reminded about the importance of a good skincare regime with the addition of consistent treatments. I especially love my nighttime routine, where my skin is hydrated and dewy from all my skincare.

What do you love most about your job?
The fact that I get to treat patients and help boost their confidence with treatments that promote their natural beauty is honestly the best feeling. When patients return and explain how they feel, it is so rewarding. The other great thing is that the team at Samara is like my second family, and it is so fun!

What’s your favourite treatment and why?
It is so hard to choose just one! I have been battling with deep acne scars since I was a teenager, so I have been using multi-modal treatments to help with this. Within the last year, I have combined collagen-stimulating treatments such as Rejuran, skin boosters, and lasers and microneedling. I must say the results I got with skin boosters have been phenomenal. It has helped improve the appearance of my scarring and the hydration in my skin.

Do you have any favourite volumising/augmenting treatment?
I love adding volume to the cheeks. It is so subtle but makes such a massive difference to the midface because a common concern patients usually have is prominent nasolabial folds (the crease between your cheeks and mouth). This can result from ageing, where sagging can occur due to volume loss in the cheeks. This treatment also gives you a more youthful appearance.

Augmenting the chin is my other favourite treatment to perform. Not only is it subtle, but it also helps create a beautiful elongated extension of the jawline and allows for balancing facial features from the front and side profiles.

If you were stuck on a desert island and could only have two skincare products, what would they be (and why?)
Definitely sunscreen – to protect me from further skin damage and darkening of pigmentation. The other product will be my Profhilo multi-action antioxidant cream (also available at Samara Aesthetics) because it is so nourishing and hydrating.

My other fav product
Another favourite product of mine is the Dr Aspect Ultra Light Clarifying Moisturiser (also available at Samara Aesthetics), which I use every night to seal all my skincare. It is super hydrating and super light; I feel a little goes a long way.

Have you had any treatments yourself this year?
Absolutely! Along with my usual PICO laser to target pigmentation and rejuvenation, I have loved getting my monthly micro-needling treatments to help with my concerns of acne scarring and boost my collagen stimulation. I have also received Profhilo, which honestly tied all the treatments together. You’ll hear me say a few times about multi-modal treatments, where we can use different treatments to target different layers of the skin.

Predictions for 2025?
I believe the trending treatments for 2025 will likely be all about skin! The glass facial seems to be quite popular as it is a treatment which combines a micro-dose of neurotoxin with moisturising factors and peptides to help boost skin rejuvenation. Also, with barely any downtime, you’d be silly not to try it before your next event.

What do I love most about working at Samara?
I could go on… Being a part of this fantastic team, learning directly from Dr Sam, who is one of the best teachers and is highly skilled, working in a doctor-led Aesthetic clinic and having the support of my fellow nursing colleagues, having the opportunity to learn about new products and treatments.

Advice to patients
Consistency is key. To have realistic results, we need to have realistic expectations. The majority of the treatments require multiple sessions to have optimal results. There is also no point in spending your hard-earned money on treatments without having a good skincare routine at home.

If you’re ever confused and unsure, please come in to visit for a consultation!
