Exosomes hair treatment – therapy for  thinning hair

Exosome treatment for hair

Hair loss can affect both men and women for a variety of reasons. For example, people can suffer from alopecia, stress, hormonal changes or simply ageing. But fortunately, treatment is available. And one of the most exciting new treatments is exosome treatment.

Exosomes are tiny vesicles derived from stem cells. They are rich in proteins, growth factors and genetic materials that help regenerate and repair tissues, including hair follicles. During a treatment, the exosomes are injected into the scalp to activate dormant hair follicles, stimulating new hair growth and increasing hair thickness.

Exosomes also show potential for skin regeneration, wound healing, combating inflammation and cell differentiation (where stem cells change into specialised cells).

Benefits for combating hair loss

Exosomes are like little couriers, transporting precious goods and information to where they are most needed. And this includes the scalp and hair follicles. This is how the scalp and hair benefit:

Altering the hair growth cycle: When they reach the hair follicles, they wake them up, nudging them to go from their resting phase to the hair growth cycle phase, where hair actively grows.

Anti-inflammatory effects: Inflammation is present in various scalp conditions and, in some cases, can lead to balding. Fortunately, exosomes can fight inflammation, combating conditions such as tinea capita, psoriasis, folliculitis and seborrheic dermatitis.

Supporting blood vessel formation: Exosomes stimulate the formation of blood vessels, and a good, healthy blood flow to the scalp and hair follicles is essential for hair regrowth (hair regeneration).

Exposing the scalp to growth factors: Exosomes contain growth factors that can potentially improve hair density and thickness. Growth factors are naturally occurring substances that stimulate cell proliferation, including hair follicle development, which could lead to thicker hair.

Your exosome treatment procedure

Before your exosome treatment, you’ll talk to one of our registered nurses, who can share your concerns and objectives, and they can assess you to determine whether you’re a good candidate for exosome therapy.

If you commence treatment, your scalp will be cleaned and topical anaesthetic will be applied to the area where hair loss or thinning occurs. Your product will either be injected or rolled into the skin using a dermal roller. Typically, we recommend four treatments spaced one month apart.
