What is mesotherapy?
Mesotherapy is a non-invasive technique that uses the injection of enzymes, vitamins and hormones, prepared specifically for your unique requirements, to tighten and rejuvenate skin, as well as other benefits. The concept behind mesotherapy is that it is generally used to correct underlying inflammation or poor circulation. It is also sometimes used as pain relief in some instances.
Mesotherapy is effective in the following areas:
- Promote hair growth / treat alopecia
- Skin texture & hydration
- Skin revitalisation
- Skin brightening and pigmentation
- Scar treatment
Your initial consultation with Dr Sam and the professionals at Samara medical and cosmetic clinics will provide you with all the information you need to get the most benefit from mesotherapy.
Your initial consultation will determine the mix of the vitamins, enzymes and hormones you require.
On the day of the procedure the area is thoroughly cleaned and anaesthetised. The prepared mixture is injected into the treatment area. Post injection, topical antibiotics and dressings are applied if necessary.
A cycle of 4-5 injections, over 2 week intervals, is required to see results.
Results are usually clearly seen after the fourth or fifth treatment. To help maintain the desired results, it is recommended that the treatment is repeated every 6-8 months.
Formulations are based on the specific needs of each individual patient. The formulations can consist of a combination of two or more active ingredients:
- Prescribed Medication
- Vitamins & Minerals
These individual ingredients when combined produce a localised synchronised effect to provide the desired results.
Every treatment is unique, so each individual formulation may carry a minor risk. However, mesotherapy injections are safe and are used to produce a localised result.
